Welcome to Labyrinth, an AI-powered interactive storytelling and game platform operated by Matchue Studios Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Labyrinth (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including visitors and registered users. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
1. Eligibility and User Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
To access Mature Content features, you must be at least 18 years old and verify your age through our confirmation process (e.g., providing date of birth and verifying email).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
We reserve the absolute right to suspend, terminate, or delete accounts for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
2. Credits and Payments
Labyrinth operates on a "Credits" system. Users purchase Credits to pay for AI generation costs (e.g., turns, images).
Credits are purchased via third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). Prices are in CAD and subject to applicable taxes.
No Refunds: Credits are non-refundable and have no monetary value outside of the Service. They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other accounts.
We reserve the right to change credit pricing or the credit cost of specific features at any time.
3. Prohibited Use and Zero Tolerance Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You strictly agree NOT to input prompts or attempt to generate content that includes:
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any depiction of sexual acts involving minors or characters that appear to be minors, regardless of fictional context.
Non-Consensual Sexual Violence: Depictions of rape or sexual assault.
Bestiality or Necrophilia: Sexual acts involving animals or corpses.
Hate speech, harassment, or real-world defamation.
Reporting Obligation: Matchue Studios Inc. complies with Canadian and international laws. We reserve the right to report any user generating suspect illegal content (specifically CSAM) to relevant authorities (e.g., RCMP, NCMEC) without notice.
4. AI-Generated Content and Outputs
The Service uses generative AI to create text and images. Outputs are probabilistic and not pre-approved by us.
Disclaimer of Responsibility: We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of AI-generated outputs. Matches Studios disclaims all liability for AI outputs to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Ownership: You retain ownership of your specific text inputs. Due to the nature of AI, you acknowledge that outputs may be similar to outputs generated for other users and that copyright protection for AI-generated works is subject to evolving laws.
You grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use your inputs and generated outputs to operate, improve, and debug the Service.
5. Mature Content Policy
Access to Mature Content is a privilege, not a right. It requires an explicit opt-in and age verification.
The "Minor" Rule: If a story involves characters who are minors (under 18) or are described as visually appearing to be minors (regardless of "lore" age), the generation of mature or sexual content is strictly prohibited.
Moderation: We use automated AI moderation tools to scan inputs and outputs. If our system flags your content as violating our safety guidelines, the generation will be blocked. Repeated attempts to bypass safety filters regarding illegal content will result in an immediate, permanent ban without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service structure, code, design, and branding are owned by Matchue Studios Inc.
You may not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written permission.
7. Data Collection and Privacy
We collect personal data (e.g., email, birthday, payment history) and usage data (e.g., prompts and moderation logs) to provide and secure the Service.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted access or that AI models will follow your instructions perfectly.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matchue Studios Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 6 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination and Bans
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Termination by Us: We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Upon termination for violation of safety policies, you forfeit any remaining Credits.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
